Saint Dominic Academy has been empowering young women for leadership since 1878. Our Annual Gala Dinner-Dance and Auction is a way of celebrating this wonderful heritage and supporting our promising future.
All proceeds from the Gala benefit SDA's Scholarship Fund. With this fund, we continue to extend a helping hand to some of our community's brightest and most deserving students and their families.
This year's gala will take place on Saturday, November 4th at Jersey City's Casino-in-the-Park.
It will honor a number of outstanding alumnae: Kathleen Wynn Barnitt '59, Anne Dalton O'Brien '65, Datina Rinn ‘74, Maureen Nally '84, Amy Hulings Culhane '88, Melissa Falco Gigante '94, Sharon Whelpley '94, Elsie Mendoza-Thongvichith '94, Diane De Benedictis '94, Andrea Fahrenholz '96 and DeAna Mendez '98.

Gala Details
Saint Dominic Academy's Eighth Annual Gala Awards Dinner-Dance will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2006 at Casino-in-the-Park, Lincoln Park, Jersey City, New Jersey. Reception begins at 6 p.m., dinner is at 7 p.m.
The event includes Open Bar, Butlered Canapes, Awards Dinner, Vocalist, DJ, Silent and Live Auctions and will benefit the Academy's Scholarship Fund.
Tickets: $150 each; Two for the price of one for
public law-enforcement officers, firefighters,
and SDA alumnae of class years 1997 to 2006.
Tables of 10: $1,350
50/50 Raffle Tickets: $25 each, 5 for $100

Kathleen Wynn Barnitt '59 is a longtime supporter of SDA who spearheaded the reconstruction of Madonna Hall and gives back to the community by volunteering with organizations that serve women and girls.
Anne Dalton O'Brien '65 is another longtime supporter of SDA who has an impressive teaching and coaching career. Anne also has over 20 years of community service to her credit.
